Pericardium 6 (Nei Guan), the Inner Gate, is one of the most widely used points for settling the chest and calming the mind.
How to find it
Turn your palm up. Place three fingers across your wrist, starting at the crease. The point is just above your third finger, between the two tendons in the middle of the forearm.
What to do
- Sit comfortably and let your shoulders drop.
- Press gently with your thumb, enough to feel it but never painful.
- Hold for one to two minutes while breathing slowly, then change sides.
